The Reliability Challenge
Bearings in industrial refrigeration systems operate across extreme temperature differentials, from sub-zero evaporator environments to warm machine rooms. Ammonia system bearings face refrigerant dilution of lubricant that reduces oil film thickness. Compressor bearings in screw and reciprocating units handle sustained high-speed operation where lubricant condition is critical. Condenser fan bearings face weather exposure and seasonal load cycling.
Our Approach
We perform vibration analysis on compressor bearings, condenser fan bearings, and pump bearings across the refrigeration system. Oil sampling on compressor lubrication systems tracks bearing wear metals and refrigerant dilution effects on oil viscosity. Ultrasonic monitoring identifies bearing distress on evaporator fan motors in cold storage areas. We assess bearing seal performance across the temperature range from evaporator side to machine room conditions.
