The Reliability Challenge
Cement plant waste heat recovery boilers capture exhaust energy from preheater towers and clinker coolers while enduring extreme dust loading in flue gas streams. High-alkalinity kiln dust creates aggressive deposits on tube surfaces that resist sootblowing. Thermal cycling during kiln startups and shutdowns stresses tube attachments. Combustion of alternative fuels including tires and waste materials produces variable and sometimes corrosive flue gas chemistry.
Our Approach
We perform waste heat recovery boiler assessment including tube fouling analysis, erosion pattern mapping, and alkali deposit characterization. Sootblower effectiveness evaluation addresses stubite cement dust deposit removal. Tube thickness surveys target known high-erosion zones.
