The Reliability Challenge
Bearings in cement plants endure the most punishing environment in industrial service: extreme dust from clinker grinding, radiant heat from kilns, and the continuous vibration signature of vertical roller mills and ball mills. Kiln support roller bearings carry massive static loads at very low speeds, requiring specialized monitoring approaches. Raw mill and finish mill bearings experience heavy shock loading from grinding media impact.
Our Approach
We deploy continuous online vibration monitoring on kiln support roller bearings, vertical roller mill bearings, and primary crusher bearings where failure consequence justifies real-time protection. Route-based monitoring covers secondary equipment bearings. Oil sampling with particle counting and ferrographic analysis tracks contamination and wear in high-dust environments. We assess bearing housing sealing and breather filtration adequacy against cement dust ingress rates.
