The Reliability Challenge

Oil and gas gas turbines face hot section oxidation and creep under continuous baseload pipeline and offshore service. Compressor fouling from salt air in offshore and coastal environments, sand in desert locations, and hydrocarbon vapors in refinery settings reduces power output and increases heat rate. Fuel gas quality variations from pipeline composition changes cause combustion instability. Offshore turbines operate in salt-laden, high-humidity environments that accelerate hot corrosion and compressor blade pitting. Our Approach

We perform corrected power and heat rate trending to separate compressor fouling from hot section degradation.
