The Reliability Challenge
Stator winding insulation degrades rapidly in the high-humidity environments around paper machines and stock preparation areas. VFD-induced voltage reflections damage winding insulation on refiner and fan motor applications driven by variable speed drives. Bearing failures from moisture contamination and ambient fiber dust shorten motor life across wet-end and stock preparation areas.
